Black Belt Academy
Specialty Classes (continued)
Leadership. Leadership dives deeper into the Life Skills concepts of: Discipline, Belief, Communication, Respect, Self-Esteem and Honesty. These concepts are introduced as a part of the structure of all classes. Leadership class dedicates a portion of time to teach these concepts at age appropriate levels.
Additional material is offered - different weapons and empty hand forms. Demonstration teams mainly consist of Leadership students.
Leadership students have the opportunity to earn championships in tournament competition. While any member can compete... and place at tournament, only Leadership students will accrue points throughout the tournament year to earn State, District and World level Championships.
Legacy. Students interested in becoming a certified instructor become Legacy students. These students will work on learning to manage classes for all age groups, how to present material and will be given supervised opportunity to work with other students to gain the teaching experience necessary for advancing/testing through the certification levels to a fully certified instructor.
We have worked with parents and adult students to create a schedule that fits rank and age ranges. For some classes, we may ask capable Leadership and/or Legacy students to teach specific material.

At Caudill's ATA Black Belt Academy, we are not interested in just teaching martial arts. We are interested in the complete personal development of each student. Individual attention is a feature of each and every class, allowing all students to progress quickly and confidently toward their personal goals. Our instructors take their responsibilities seriously as role models for younger students, teaching them the importance of strong character, leadership, and good values.
Time is spent each week working on different aspects of self defense. The ability to use one's voice, to train past the freeze reaction that often occurs in attacks. Recognizing bullying behavior and working to stop that - and teaching our kids how to non confrontationally intervene to help other kids being bullied.
